Created a facility and planning process for a small community school, which served as a demonstration and model for public schools elsewhere in Tijuana as well as the city as a whole.

Produce a study of ‘better’ practices for stewardship of community-managed plazas, including inclusive tactics for engaging homeless people.

2018  Jamie Blosser: Santa Fe Midtown District—A Road Map

Help the City of Santa Fe create a meaningful process to equitably redevelop a 64-acre parcel in midtown. Conceptualize governance or finance structures that would optimize the City’s investment in the property.

2017 Richard Reinhard: United Methodist Building—Moments and Messages, Washington, DC

Develop a preliminary concept, design, plan and budget to transform the first floor of the historic United Methodist Building and its grounds into an asset that tells a compelling story as a center of faith-based activism.

2017 Nedra Sims Fears: Greater Chatham Initiative, Chicago, IL

Develop a creative placing making identity for a mixed-use commercial strip located in the Greater Chatham area, which has long been a place of opportunity and choice for Chicago’s middle-and working-class African-American families.

Helped the city address its crumbling flood wall infrastructure and re-envision its relationship with the river as a force for positive change. 2015 Richard Reinhart and David Kamp: The Fabric of Health—Green Commons, Buffalo, NY

Brought together community groups to examine the critical intersection of physical development and public health and address the question: “How does this place, this strategy, this policy actively promote health?”

2013 Ana Maria Duran: Yachay—the City of Knowledge Master Plan Improvement, Yachay, Ecuador

Improve the master plan and propose a plan of action for the planned Ecuadoran city of Yachay, where academia, public research institutions, industry and heritage tourism meet.

2013 Steven Lewis: Cultural Tourism in the Greater Watts Community, Los Angeles, CA

Explored the viability of cultural tourism in a historically under served and marginalized community and performed an organizational evaluation of the Watts Labor Community Action Committee.

2013 Helen Marriage & Ann Yoachim: Art Means Business, Durham, England

Brought Loebs to present at a one-day international conference, in Durham (England) during Lumiere, the UK’s largest light festival. The event brought together visionaries and policymakers from the worlds of urban planning, local government and business, inviting them to share ideas for how the creative industries can offer innovative solutions for intractable problems and re-imagine the city of the twenty-
first century.

2012 Julie Campoli: Upstream Downtown - Making Room for the River, Vermont

Brought Loeb Fellows and Vermonters together to discuss how the state’s river-­‐based urban centers can thrive in a changing climate. Upstream-­‐Downtown events examined how river systems interact with human settlements, using examples of flood resiliency from across the globe.

2012 Damon Rich: Newark Riverfront Summit, Newark, NJ

Six Loeb fellows participated in the first-ever Newark Riverfront Summit, which consisted of a set of three private workshops with civic groups and elected officials, a boat tour with elected officials and residents, and a concluding public conversation and report-out at the Newark Museum.
