These Four Walls

Loebs are inveterate travelers, but for now, we’re staying put. Here’s where we are now, and will remain for the time being. Send a photo of your home work space and/or the view out your window and we’ll add it to the gallery. Make sure to add your name, class year and location.

This is where I live – in a small (and organic!)Yerba Mate tea plantation. I am very fortunate to have this views around. Actually, this quarantine is not very diferent from my normal isolation... it just gives me more excuses.

Stephen Goldsmith ‘00 Undisclosed location with trees and wildlife

I'm looking at 100' conifers, an occasional Maple, and White Oak. Yesterday visited by a coyote, many Northern Flickers, Bush Tits and Downy woodpeckers. But so much of my view is this rectangle, this screen. While I've been trying hard to de-rectangularize my life, even trying to make sure that only rarely does my food come from a box, even wisdom seems to come in rectangles. Here's a view

My four walls are three mountains and the western edge of the Great Plains – Livingston, MT.  This is sunset over the Beartooth Absoroka Mountains, running from here into Yellowstone National Park.

Working (very) remotely works, although babysitting for a two year old grandchild (while his parents work remotely) creates a work obstruction like a Boston commute – but much cuter.

Stay Safe.  Get Into Nature.

Since our son Chango is studying architecture abroad in Melbourne RMIT, we have converted his room into our work room as we can’t go back into the office for awhile. It's the sunniest of all the rooms and our cats love it and are supporting us through these challenging times.
